Sunny in SoCal

Ugh, I know, I've been terrible at posting to the blog lately. There are numerous reasons for my absence, most of which I don't really want to discuss at the moment. I am currently packing for a quick trip down to California. Chris is in San Fran today and I'll be picking him up from the airport tomorrow night in LA so we can drive up to Ventura County and watch a couple stages of the Tour of California. Last year, the tour was held over my birthday and Chris had to do some serious convincing in order to get me to spend my birthday standing in the rain watching a bunch of guys with shaved legs zip around the Rose Bowl. Surprisingly, we had a jolly good time, despite the inclement weather and multitudes of spandex wearing folk. So we're going to do it again. I'm resigned to the spandex (I did do crew for eight years, after all) but I'm hoping for slightly drier weather. PLEASE WEATHER GODS, I am tired of the rain! Let it be sunny in SoCal.
