Home Exchange

Peeps,

Last night Chris and I read an article about vacation home exchanges.

Have you heard of it?

Basically you swap houses with a person that lives in a place that you'd like to visit (and vice versa). While you're spending time in their house and exploring their country/city/neighborhood, they're doing the same in your casa.

They live in your house and you live in their house. For a week, a month, or longer. No expensive hotel bills. Basically your vacation costs would consist of airfare, food, and activities.

Would you do it?

I have to admit, the idea intrigues me.

Of course, some people are better situated than others in the swapping department. The author of the article lived in a three bedroom apartment in Manhattan. I'll bet she had no trouble finding international partners to swap with her. Who doesn't want to spend two weeks in NYC!?

Seattle, on the other hand?

Perhaps a bit more difficult.

Check it out for yourself: HomeExchange.com.

xxoo,

Sonja
