Part 7: Tongariro and Whanganui National Parks: Two of the “Nine Great Walks of New Zealand”
Part 8: Waitomo: Glow Worms Galore!

Hello Peeps,

I’m still getting photos from New Zealand organized. I’ll probably do them over a few days as there are, not surprisingly, quite a few. Here is a quick map of our route. Click on the image for a slightly larger version.

We flew from Fiji to Auckland, spent a day in that fair city, and then drove north to the town of Russell, in the Bay of Islands (yellow loop). We spent two nights there before heading back through Auckland and then south to Rotorua, Whanganui National Park, and Waitomo (red loop). In all, it was eight days and 1,200 miles. All on the left hand side of the road, too! Chris is a driving pro now.

Wish we could have made it to the south island - next time for sure.

And here is a quick sneak peek of what's to come: Swimming with dolphins in the Bay of Islands. It was out-of-this-world incredible.

xo,

Sonja
