I wonder though, do you suppose people started using the changing tables after public restrooms started getting rid of the toilets that had the big porcelain water tanks on the back? 'Cause I think that was the original spot of choice. I don't know who on earth decided to go about studying this....The research I heard about was out of England; not sure if there is any US data.
