The obsession with maps continues...

I have my mom to thank for that.

Check out this product:

It's called the My Scratch Map from IWOOT . It's a nifty way to document where you've been.

Step 1: Travel
Step 2: Scratch off where you've been on your handy map!

Easy peasy. Too bad it doesn't include the individual states, though. Maybe a fun gift for a kid?

I'm still holding out for my jumbo-sized world wall mural though.

  1. This is AWESOME! We homeschool and it would be fun for the kids to scratch off the places as we study them!

  2. What a great idea for the kids. Turn it into a geography lesson. I really hope they come out with a US States version; we're planning on doing lots of roadtrips next year and I think it might be fun to scratch 'em off the list as you travel through the individual state.

  3. That map is super cool. Would have been great in a classroom, but I agree a US version would be helpful.

On a side note I'm going to be a slight Debbie Downer...don't make too many travel plans yet. Riding with a kid in the car for extended periods of time is very challenging. Especially the older they get and the more aware they are. Plus being in a car seat (or swing, or bouncer, or on the floor on their back) too much is horrible for their head shape and I'd hate to see you go through what I went through with concern regarding Gabriel's head stuff.
