Welcome!
This blog is about one ordinary little family living in the Pacific Northwest. Currently it consists of three people, one giant hound, and two fussy chickens. And a few bee hives.
Here is a quick overview of our family:
Sonja
Wife. Chicken herder. Novice beekeeper. Voracious reader, frequent hiker, and occasional scuba diver. Is currently dreaming about home renovations and her future vegetable garden.
Christopher
Christopher
Husband. Author of this website’s first blog post. His only blog post. Analyst at an investment firm. Bicyclist. Restorer of vintage motorcycles.
Benjamin
Our wee little tyke arrived in late January 2011 and is currently perfecting his eating, sleeping, and pooping skills. We love him to bits.
Bailey
Labrador retriever. Bailey is the sweetest dog you'll ever meet. He came to the family as a rescue dog: emaciated, untrained, and sporting a nasty case of kennel cough. Sonja and Chris fattened him up, worked endlessly on his commands, and took him hiking in the nearby Santa Ana Mountains. Now reaching middle age, Bailey’s repertoire of skills resemble quite closely those of our Baby Benjamin.
