Tonight Megan, Alex and I made our first cake covered in fondant. Don't know what fondant is? It's a smooth sugar paste that is often used to cover cakes, especially wedding cakes. It looks more professional than regular frosted cakes. The disadvantage, and it's a big one, is that fondant tastes icky. Really icky. It's like eating plastic sugar gum. Yum. We are very proud of our Dr. Seuss cake but we're never going to make one again. It was completely inedible. We've decided (Megan, Alex, and I) that the wedding cake is going to have to be plain old frosting instead of the fancy fondant. Go Flavor!
