Geologic Time

This video is from the fossil exhibit at the San Diego Museum of Natural History. It's a representation of geographic time. The red dot is San Diego. It's difficult to read but try to keep track of the date in the upper left-hand corner. It starts out at 660 million years ago, zooms up through the present and then estimates plate movement into the future. Folks, it looks like we're going back to a Pangaea like state (not that you or I or human kind will be around to see it).
