Are We in Seattle? Or Los Angeles?

Um: Seattle? You are supposed to be temperate in climate. You are known for your lovely warm and pleasant summers (and grey, crappy winters). This weather that you've been foisting upon us lately? Not warm or pleasant. On the contrary, the weather has been stifling, hot, and miserable. In fact, it feels a lot like Southern California. There were several reasons why we moved from SoCal, one of them being that we couldn't stand the awful summers. Send the hot weather back to California, we've forgotten what our dog looks like since he now spends all his time sacked out on the cool tile of the bathroom floor. Bailey, please, come out of the bathroom, and enjoy the rest of the house.

  1. don't bash CA summers, the heat isn't that bad; you should try out the NE around this time... everywhere in the lower 48 gets their 90-100 degree days. At least we don't have any bugs in the summer!

  2. Ugh, don't get me wrong, I love CA weather, but only for three months out of the year. Frankly, in my humble opinion, the summers suck. Too hot, espeically in our tiny casa that was without air conditioning. But you're right about the NE, the sticky heat is twice as bad as a LA summer day. Give me a dry 100 degrees day over a humid one, anyday.

  3. I heard somewhere that we have set a record for being the driest we have ever been since May. Isn't global warming awesome?
