Dessert For All

When one has a plethora of eggs:
 It is time to make angel food cake:


The recipe calls for 12 egg whites. 

Guess who gets to eat the yolks.

Yup, we're going to have one happy dog these next few days. Consider it an early Birthday present, Bubba.

  1. Ohhh is that a picture of the final result?? I've tried twice (and failed twice) to make an angel food cake from scratch. I think one was undercooked....and the second one I didn't use cake flour...or super fine sugar...Anyhow you're an awesome baker, let me know what your tricks are because I'd love to try again.

  2. We'll have to try one when you're down here this summer! I didn't use cake flour or fine sugar either and it's a bit rough but definitely still edible. I am loving the America's Test Kitchen cookbook that you recommended; it's now my go-to kitchen resource.
