How to Grow A Roof

I'm having a hard time remembering that constructing buildings, especially with our hectic schedule, takes time. Lots of time. And it won't be beautiful, or done, without some more dedicated hard work.
I want it to be beautiful immediately.

But, we're getting close. We need another couple of weekends to put up the siding. And we'll have to put in the plants. Which will probably take a few years to grow in.

But we did accomplish a major hurdle last weekend. Two loads of wet, painfully heavy soil is now laying peacefully upon the roof. Huzah.

  1. I just found your blog. I Looove the living roof idea. Wish I would have come across this last year when we built our shed...now with a shingled pointy roof...it's too late..darn it!

  2. Thanks Stephanie! It's been a lot (!!!) of work but hopefully it'll pay off in the end. Our neighbors look right down onto the roof so we wanted something pretty for them to stare at! I can't wait for it to grow in.
