Shake it. (aka siding for the chicken coop)

We are exhausted. Worked like mad this weekend.

Chris can barely lift his arms this morning, thanks to hefting the nail gun for hours upon hours. That man is a saint.

I went to bed at 8:30 last night. But only after I had woken up from my hour long snooze on the couch.

It's not done (we've got a long ways to go) but it's LOOKING GREAT. If I do say so myself.

  1. Oh my gosh, I feel your pain. I decided that I didn't need to buy shakes, so I cut 6' cedar fenceboards into shingles, and then I hammered them onto the roof of the coop. Cut and hammered (I dont' have a gun), cut and hammered. And let us note I have a jigsaw, not a chopsaw. And I was on an orchard ladder when hammering.

I feel your pain. Please consume some treats.

  2. Thank you!! We're still working on it; we pounded out the sides a few nights ago. Now we have the back and the tricky puzzle up by the rafters.

I CANNOT believe you did it all by hand. I am in awe. And I think I would have given up after a few rows, had we been pounding those nails in one at a time....

And yes, [too many] treats were consumed. Including a batch of raw cookie dough...
