Front row seats to house building activities

I'm finding it slightly ironic that the minute we get pregnant, the lot kitty-corner to us is sold, bought by a developer, and as of today, they're cutting down the trees, likely in preparation for building a house there.

Not exactly a surprise, but bad timing, as far as we're concerned.

The bedroom (with its single pane window) closest to the new construction zone was slated to be the baby's room. We're seriously rethinking the wisdom of that choice. Round the clock hammering, sawing, and general construction mayhem for the first year of Baby J's life is probably not ideal.

Clearly they don't understand that all things revolve around me and the pregnancy. They couldn't have waited a year or two? :)

  1. Whom ever bought that empty lot will have to get a permit to cut down those trees or pay a hefty fine.

Your little one will sleep right though all that noise because they won't know anything different. Lucia and Sam can both sleep though a jackhammer. Which is a nice thing to be able to do. It means less sneaking around for mom and dad during nap time.

  2. will be so used to the noise it shouldn't make a difference for them at all. :)

  3. Congratulations Sonja!! I am just catching up on reading blogs and saw the good news.
