sssafe and ssssound

Hooray, the missing cobra at the Bronx Zoo has been recovered. Probably a good thing. I'd be a little jumpy if I knew that this particular young snake was in my vicinity.

Did you follow her adventures via her [obviously fake] twitter account? Hilarious.

A few gems:

  • Got a bagel at H & H Bagels on upper west side. When I ordered I said, "I'll have the snakes on a PLAIN." He did not laugh. Tough crowd.
  • Enjoying a cupcake @magnoliabakery. This is going straight to my hips. Oh, wait. I don't have hips. Yesss!#snakeonthetown
  • Gonna listen to some Jazz tonight. You know I love some great flute work. Do they provide it or is it bring your own basket? #snakeonthetown

On a random note, the escaped snake escapade reminds me of the time in first grade that the school's pet snake escaped and made its way into the nearby gerbil cage. It didn't end well for our poor gerbils. The snake was easy to find though: the two gerbil lumps made it impossible to squeeze back out through the cage bars…
