The Little Yellow Stool

I was in the car the other day and noticed that someone had set out this little stool on the side of the road along with a pile of wood and other assorted bits. It used to be a chair, judging by the pattern of holes along the back edge.

I loaded it up, toted it home, filled the holes with woodfiller and did a quick sand job.

Following a coat of primer and some bright yellow paint, the kiddo (and Wally the Bear) have a new place to park the tush.

  1. So cute Sonja! Did you have to sand it or just prime? I love that the little stool escaped the dump. PS....just got the announcement in the mail! Beautiful!

  2. Thanks, Em! I did do a bit of sanding before priming, mostly so that the paint would adhere well. It was an exceptionally light sand on the legs and a heavier duty job on the top as I needed to sand down some of my wood filler. Were I doing a darker color or using spray paint, I don't think the primer would have been necessary.

  3. I see a very cheery yellow timeout stool in Ben's future. ah, the joys of toddlerhood I'm living right now. Lol

  4. Haha, yes exactly!
