The World of Junior Rowing

Yay, let's hear it for WA State Rowing. A fourteen year old from Vashon Island is the youngest participant that has ever made it to the Junior Worlds Competition. The article can be found here.
It’s been more years than I care to remember since I qualified as a junior rower.  Check out that sweet arm-band bracelet thingy that I’m sporting. San Diego Crew Classic 1999(?). Photo: Larry Goetz/Courtesy of Greenlake Crew

  1. One of my favorite memories: 2008 flying back from Sacramento and NCAAs. On that flight was Western Washington - DII NCAA Champions, UW - DI NCAA Runners up and then us, UPS - DIII NCAA 3rd place team. It was fun being part of such an incredible strong region, let alone state.
