Growing Pains

I finally decided that I needed a suit. Frankly, I never thought I'd be the kind of person that required a suit but it's something that would be handy to have in my profession, every once in a while. So we went suit shopping this weekend. Chris, someone that wears a suit frequently, was gracious enough to follow me all over South Coast Plaza in search of a charcoal suit. Brooks Brothers, J. Crew, Ann Taylor, Limited, Banana Republic, Bloomingdale's, Macy's, Nordstrom, Express....Holy crap we didn't find a single one that was acceptable. I guess charcoal isn't really a "spring" color.

As always, when we go shopping, I am reminded of how much I really dislike malls. I think I mostly get tired of the crush of humanity. Too many people.
Anyway, we came home from the mall completely exhausted. That was also probably due to the fact that we went on a nice bike ride beforehand. I need to get a new bike seat. A day and a half later and I still can't sit down comfortably.

Given the opportunity, I think I could live off of fruit. I'm also proud to say that the other day I bought my very first avocado, one of the very few fruits that I haven't found to be very tasty. We had tacos and margaritas in honor of Cinco de Mayo and I decided that I'd better bite the bullet and have avocados on the tacos. And frankly, it wasn't half bad. Maybe now I won't feel so guilty about all the avocados on our tree going to waste if I actually eat one every once in a while.
