Bad Dog

You and I need to have a serious discussion, Bailey. Just because our bed is now down at your level, you are NOT entitled to set a single mud-covered, hairy paw on that mattress. And don't think that scooching down the comforter cover to make a nice cozy bed on the floor is an acceptable behavior, either. Touch it again and your name is MUD.

Which reminds me, has anyone else out there heard the following song?

mud, mud, glorious mud,
nothing quite like it
for cooling the blood
so follow me, follow,
down to the hollow,
and there we will wallow,
in glorious mud

No? Well be sure to check it out (below, with video). I've had it stuck in my head lately. Full lyrics can be found here.

  1. Awww....so cute! I applaud his creativity and intelligence. :) One question though...why is your bed almost on the floor?

  2. Yeah, it looks kinda funny, huh. It's a long story. Chris has been having back problems (he tried sleeping on the floor a couple weeks ago) and so we removed the bed frame (but kept the box spring), thinking that there was too much give from the bed frame. It made it slightly better but we discovered that it was significantly improved after we took away both the box spring and the bed frame. And we're shopping around for a new mattress. :) Until that time, Bailey is in heaven because he can lean over us every morning and hand out sloppy kisses (and we desperately try to cover our heads with the blanket while catching a few more winks).

  5. I'd love to know how you like it (when you get it up and running) because we're in the market for a new mattress. We balked a bit on the price tag of the sleep number but our search stalled out because we couldn't agree on the degree of hardness: Chris like beds that are closer in feeling to a piece of granite; I like those that are a little softer.

I just got back to see your reply. You do know with a Sleep Number bed,you can get two separate air chambers. His half nice, smooth granite.Your half princess and the pea soft. That's one of its biggest selling points. UB
