Someone Else Likes Chickens Too

I was walking past the chicken coop the other morning and noticed a wee set of footprints on a piece of rubber lining that was laying on the ground.

Those sure look like raccoon prints to me. Evidently the hens have a fan club.

That would like nothing more than to gobble them up.

One of my neighbors reported that he has trapped 34 raccoons on his property. Thirty four! Evidently we have a high raccoon population in this here area. Or perhaps they're just migrating back from the local park where he releases them.
