Thanks for voting, peeps!

I can't tell you how surprised I am by how many of you are Mac users. We're pondering a switch from a PC to an Apple but are waiting for the hard drive to well and truly die before springing for a new computer. I really liked the Mac's iPhoto program, yet am not thrilled about the fact that many programs aren't compatible with Apples..

  1. Not sure what programs you are utilizing on your PC, but I have not missed a single thing about my PC since I made the switch. :) My Mac computer runs faster, more efficiently, is easy to navigate, is pretty to look at, I've never once had to have it repaired, and it has all of the programs I needed:
Photoshop and Microsoft Word mostly. Brian's Mac laptop runs both Mac and Windows. If you're interested in knowing about that get with him on facebook. :) (That's out of my league. lol)

  2. I used to be a mac. Quite frankly, it was the cost that got me on deciding to switch to a PC. Macs are great operating systems, but my old mac lasted about 5 years. My previous computer (a PC) lasted 5 years, and my husband's previous computer (a PC) lasted 5 years. For my new laptop, the price was 1/4 to 1/5 the cost of what a Mac would have cost. That was what made the decision.

I haven't noticed any particular differences in speed. And, Macs break too (my husband's PC and my Mac both broke at the same time and they were the same age. Both harddrive failures). Macs are beautiful machines, but they just weren't worth the extra cash to me. Plus, I got my PC at Costco, so I have added protection and tech support.
