When in Rome... eat gelato

Do you ever dream of food?

I do.

My mom always made a point to buy the local fruits and foods when we traveled. I particularly remember the meat pies that we bought from the lady on the beach in Tobago. We ate them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. She liked us. A lot.

In Bonaire it was fresh papaya, every morning, with a squeeze of lime.

How I wish they grew in our neck of the woods.

Yum.

I'm glad to have my appetite back.

  1. I'm afraid to say that I don't necessarily eat as healthily as your family. I enjoyed A LOT of gelato in Italy--especially hazelnut! Nutella in a cone, mmmm.

  2. In my humble opinion, one can never eat too much gelato, especially in Italy! I've only been there once before and figured it would probably be a long, long while before I ever returned... So you'd better consume as much as you possibly can in your limited amount of time!
