Advent Calendar Ideas

Well My Dears,

After last year’s adventures in DIY Advent Calendar making, it is time once again to fill each little box. But this year, instead of doing toys and candy, we’re opting for activities instead.

Here are some ideas, in no particular order:

  1. Go to the zoo
  2. Make a paper chain
  3. Pick out and (have Daddy) cut down the christmas tree
  4. Brew hot apple cider and have a tea cider party
  5. Go have lunch downtown with daddy
  6. Put coins in the Salvation Army can
  7. Have breakfast by christmas tree light
  8. Make cookies
  9. Deliver cookies to the neighbors
  10. Decorate christmas tree
  11. Pick out some cans to put in the food drive bin
  12. Have a christmas carol dance party in the living room
  13. Make a bird feeder out of pinecones, peanut butter, and birdseed
  14. Dress Bailey Dog up as a reindeer
  15. Make a gingerbread house
  16. Draw holiday cards for the grandparents
  17. Make snowflakes out of paper
  18. Have a picnic under the christmas tree
  19. Make a pie
  20. Go sledding
  21. Move into a big boy room
  22. Make mini pizzas for dinner
  23. Visit the reindeer at Hunter Tree Farm
  24. Make christmas tree cone artwork and then decorate the tree. Like this, this, or this.
  25. Bake doggie cookies for Bailey
  26. Roast marshmallows over candle flame
  27. Hang christmas lights outside
  28. Dress up as Santa
  29. Make stuffing for dinner
  30. Decorate butcher paper as wrapping paper
  31. Do some face painting - the grinch, anyone?
  32. Have picture taken with Santa
  33. Make a christmas crown
Merry Christmas!!!

You’ll notice that there are more than 25...and that some of them are J-family specific. I doubt most of you will be moving into your ‘big boy rooms’, for example. :)

xo,

Sonja
