Fowl fatalities in Auburn fire

And for dinner tonight: Roast Chicken! [groan. I know, bad joke]

From the PI:
A detached garage in Auburn went up in flames early Friday morning.
The contents, including six chickens, were destroyed. An adjoining home and car sustained damage estimated at $20,000.
Firefighters were dispatched at 2:11 a.m. to the garage in an alley behind 106 E. St. S.E. in Auburn. The fire was already spreading to the home and car. Firefighters also had to deal with arcing electrical wires and explosions from the garage.
The occupants of the home were evacuated. No one was injured.
